Clinic Nurses are responsible for providing assistance to providers in the direct and indirect care of Practice Management patients. Performs patient or office related duties including but not limited to clinical measurements and data collection. Documents data and provider directed information clearly and accurately in patient records. Functions clinically as support staff to provider(s). Provides comprehensive nursing care to patients seen in the Infectious Disease Clinic, with dual support responsibilities in the Wound Care Center as needed. This role supports providers through clinical coordination, patient education, care management, and procedural assistance while ensuring evidence-based practice, patient safety, and regulatory compliance. Serves as a key clinical resource for complex infectious disease management, including long-term antibiotic therapy and wound-related infections, while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes. Additional duties include but are not limited to: Provide nursing support in the Wound Care Center as assigned, including patient assessment and documentation; Assist with wound evaluations, dressing changes, debridement support, and application of advanced wound therapies per provider orders; Educate patients and caregivers on wound care, infection prevention, and treatment adherence; Monitor wounds for signs of infection or complications and communicate findings to the provider team; Support care coordination for wound-related supplies, referrals, and follow-up appointments.
