About The Position

We're looking for a Certified Medical Assistant to join our Spine Clinic team! The Spine Center is looking for an experienced Certified Medical Assistant to support our growing Interventional Pain Management division. This specialty helps patients find the best intervention or procedure to address pain, improve quality of life and return to favorite activities. We are a close unit caring for patients across the valley and are looking for a team player comfortable with EMR management and coordinating care. The position is based in Glenwood Springs with outreach to Willits and weekdays only 5 days/wk. Experienced Certified Medical Assistant highly preferred! Eligible for Employee Referral Bonuses…refer a friend and earn $$$ GENERAL OBJECTIVES: Performs all clinical duties per licensed health care provider or delegation of a registered nurse, designated specifically by the clinic. Provides assistance to licensed health care providers and nursing staff for general patient assessments, rooming patients, procedures, treatments, filing/retrieving medical records, and general office clerical duties. Performs patient care tasks following clinic standards of care as defined in policies and procedures. Completes Limited diagnostic x-rays.

Requirements

  • Current RMA/CMA.
  • Current BLS through the American Heart Association with card in-hand preferred or obtained within 3 months of hire.

  • Phlebotomy experience preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred 2 years recent work experience in a health care facility under the supervision of a licensed health care provider.
  • Experienced Certified Medical Assistant highly preferred!

Responsibilities
