About The Position

Provides support in the Kanawha and Britt Medical Clinics by performing various medical and clerical activities such as; greeting patients, patient registration, appointment scheduling, answering/routing phone calls, assisting in managing patient flow, filing, medical chart preparation, obtaining brief history/present illness, completing charts per policy, performing lab/diagnostic tests as ordered, providing quality patient care, being a patient advocate, and other duties assigned. HOURS: Full-time, 80 hours per pay period. Will work an occasional Saturday morning. Will routinely work between the Kanawha and Britt Medical Clinics. Must be willing to travel to all clinic locations if necessary.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • graduate of an approved school for medical assistant is required
  • Credentialed as a medical assistant is required (CMA)
  • Must have good clinical skills
  • Must have excellent customer service skills, computer skills, ability to organize, prioritize, multi-task, telephone etiquette, and ability to work well with others as a team
  • Must be willing to travel to all clinic locations if necessary

Nice To Haves

  • Previous clinic experience preferred
