About The Position

Radiology Ltd., is a 500-employee medical imaging organization providing World-Class Imaging to improve the health of all Southern Arizona. Radiology Ltd. is seeking a full time Clinical Facilities Assistant. Hours are Monday- Friday 8 AM - 5 PM. This position is based mainly at our Wilmot office on the east side of Tucson, with travel to nearby sites. Job Summary: The Clinic Facilities Assistant (Day Porter) is responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, and safe environment across clinical and administrative areas. This role performs day porter and environmental services duties primarily at the Wilmot Imaging Center, including the administrative floor, with required travel to other clinic locations approximately two times per week. Responsibilities include routine and responsive cleaning, disinfecting, and sanitizing of patient care areas, common spaces, restrooms, designated medical equipment, and specialized clinical areas, in accordance with infection control and safety standards. The role also supports inventory management through stocking and ordering supplies.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of and adherence to company policies and protocols

  • Knowledge of proper cleaning, disinfecting, and sanitization practices in healthcare or clinical environment
  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, supplies, and equipment, including safe use and storage
  • Knowledge of basic level computer skills
  • Skill in organizing and prioritizing work and following assignments through to completion
  • Skill in written and verbal communication
  • Skill in performing routine and terminal cleaning of clinical, patient, and common areas
  • Skill in sanitizing medical equipment and specialized clinical spaces in accordance with established protocols
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while following established procedures
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet established deadlines
  • Ability to maintain high level of attention to detail to ensure cleanliness and safety standards are met
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical tasks for extended periods during an 8-hour shift
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clinic staff regarding cleaning needs, supply shortages, or safety concerns
  • Ability to travel between clinic locations as required
  • Ability to be flexible in schedule and adaptable to constant change
  • Ability to maintain regular attendance and on-time approval to work as scheduled
  • Ability to deliver high-quality customer service to internal and external customers by communicating with integrity and compassion
  • Ability to resolve service recovery issues and understand when to escalate to the next level
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Ability to learn and follow proper cleaning, disinfecting, and sanitization procedures in healthcare environment
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 25 lbs.
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, reaching, and pushing/pulling throughout the workday
  • Requires the use of cleaning tools and equipment, including mops, vacuums, carts, and sanitizing supplies
  • Requires computer-related activities for extended periods
  • Requires the ability to see, hear, speak, write, and communicate effectively to perform job duties safely and accurately

Nice To Haves

  • 6 to 12 months of experience in cleaning, environmental services or day porter role preferred

Responsibilities

  • Monitor, clean, disinfect, and service restrooms multiple times per day to ensure cleanliness and safety standards are consistently maintained
  • Clean and disinfect common areas, including waiting rooms, patient dressing areas, break rooms, lunchrooms, conference rooms, and kitchen areas, with daily cleaning of lunchrooms and kitchen areas including surface wiping and floor mopping
  • Collect linen from clinic areas and transport it to the designated biohazard room for pickup, following established procedures
  • Gather laundry from patient dressing areas in accordance with safety and infection control protocols
  • Respond promptly to spills, biohazards, or other cleaning events and place appropriate safety signage when required
  • Remove trash, litter, and waste from patient and staff areas
  • Sanitize designated medical equipment and clinical spaces, including the Interventional Radiology (IR) room, following established infection control and safety protocols
  • Perform terminal cleaning in the nursing area on a weekly basis, ensuring compliance with clinical cleanliness standards
  • Perform cleaning and sanitization duties at other clinic locations as assigned, traveling to off-site clinics approximately two times per week
  • Monitor inventory levels, restock clinical and common areas, and place supply orders as needed
  • Assist the Technologist Assistants with restocking supplies when applicable
  • Vacuum and perform floor care as needed
  • Identify cleaning supply needs and notify leadership of shortages or concerns
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support clinic operations
  • Completes other tasks and projects as assigned
