About The Position

Overview: Fort Loudoun Medical Center is equipped with a team of more than 200 doctors in more than 29 specialty areas. Our 87,000-square-foot hospital features advanced technology, including state-of-the-art Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Computerized Tomography (CT), Ultrasound, Diagnostic X-Rays and Women’s Imaging Services, as well as Nuclear Medicine technology unique to our surrounding counties. Requirements

  • Minimum Education: None specified; however, must be sufficient to meet the standards for achievement of the below indicated license and/or certification as required by the issuing authority.
  • Minimum Experience: New graduate, within first (1 st ) year of orientation (move to level II after one (1) year experience).
  • Licensure Requirement: Must have and maintain Tennessee State nursing license. CPR required.
  • RN license

Responsibilities

  • Correlates patient history and support systems across continuum of care.
  • Completes nursing history and initiates patient education.
  • Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams making recommendations to facilitate patient care.
  • Implements plan of care appropriate to diagnosis and patient needs.
  • Evaluates outcomes.
  • Problem solves and coordinates unit/patient care assignments, with supervision.
  • Introduces new employees/students to unit routines.
  • Demonstrates active participation in unit or facility activities.
  • Demonstrates competence in performing critical skills to include appropriate delivery of care according to the age-specific needs of the population served.
  • Supervises LPNs, Nursing Assistants, HUCs, Techs and sitters.
  • Follows policies, procedures, and safety standards.
  • Completes required education assignments annually.
  • Works toward achieving goals and objectives, and participates in quality improvement initiatives as requested.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
