RN, Registered Nurse, Nurse Emergency Room The Emergency Department at LeConte Medical Center is one of the busiest ERs across all the Covenant Health facilities. We see approximately 44,500 patients annually who vary from locals to tourists from around the world. Our ED department is equipped with 30 ER beds as well as an 8-bed observation center and 2 triage rooms. The ER staff is made up of RNs, ER Techs, and HUCs that work together to provide excellent patient care. Requirements

  • Minimum Experience: Must possess at least one (1) year of professional experience.
  • Licensure Requirement: Valid Tennessee license.
  • CPR required.

Responsibilities

  • Correlates patient history and support systems within hospital care.
  • Assess learning needs of patient and family.
  • Develops and initiates teaching plan, involving patient and family.
  • Recommends interventions.
  • Evaluates plan of care.
  • Resolves problems regarding less complex issues without oversight or supervision.
  • Member of established active hospital committee or subcommittee with 75% participation in meetings.
  • Demonstrates willingness to precept new employees/students as directed.
  • Follows policies, procedures, and safety standards.
  • Completes required education assignments annually.
  • Works toward achieving goals and objectives, and participates in quality improvement initiatives as requested.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
