About The Position

Athens Administrators has an immediate need for a full-time Client Support Supervisor to support our Property & Casualty department. Employees who live less than 26 miles from the Concord, CA, Orange, CA, San Antonio, TX, or Lake Mary, FL offices are required to work once a week in the office. The remaining days can be worked remotely if technical requirements are met, and the employee resides in a state Athens operates in (includes CA, CT, FL, GA, ID, IL, MA, NY, NC, NJ, OH, OK, OR, PA, SC, TN, TX, and WV). Athens Program Insurance Services is the centerpiece of P&C claims administration in the specialty programs marketplace. We are totally unique in that we focus only on commercial business specialization across multiple coverage lines. Athens offices are open for business Monday-Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. local time. The schedule for this position is Monday through Friday at 37.5 hours per week. The Client Support Supervisor leads a team of clerical staff and ensures the accurate and efficient handling of key administrative processes. Responsibilities include managing unmatched claims submitted to Athens, overseeing deductible recovery procedures, coordinating file copies, processing payment movements, and supporting various clerical tasks requested by Examiners, Supervisors, and Division Claim Managers. This role is accountable for supervising office operations to maximize productivity and control expenses, while also performing and directing essential administrative support functions.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) required for all positions
  • AA/AS or BA/BS preferred but not required
  • Two years of claims or related supervisory experience, including hiring, training, developing, retaining, and directing staff
  • Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals with a minimum of 5 years of property & casualty claims experience
  • Knowledge of standard office equipment, such as mailing machines, copiers, and printers
  • Well-developed verbal and written communication skills with strong attention to detail
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task
  • Ability to type quickly, accurately and for prolonged periods
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to learn additional computer programs
  • Reasoning ability, including problem-solving and analytical skills, i.e., proven ability to research and analyze facts, identify issues, and make appropriate recommendations and solutions for resolution

Responsibilities

  • Supports all Athens offices with services and terms related to clerical requests by supervising a team of support staff with their clerical activities including research into unmatched claims, deductible collection, file copies as well as various daily clerical requests.
  • Develops and implements standard operating procedures to enhance team efficiency and effectiveness, ensuring all processes are clearly documented, consistently applied, and aligned with organizational best practices.
  • Ensures adherence to corporate standards by monitoring compliance and conducting regular reviews of team performance and work quality, providing feedback and guidance to drive continuous improvement.
  • Supervises the p erformance of duties requiring technical competency and knowledge in all aspects of claims and program knowledge, Those duties include claim set up and management of our vendor Resource Pro, data corrections and modifications, financial corrections and modifications, deductible recovery communication and answering of phone calls and assisting our clients.
  • Coordinate with various clerical projects, daily duties and deductible collections with the AVP, Account Management and EVP, Programs.
  • Recruit, train, and mentor team members to build a high-performing, service-oriented team.
  • Identify process gaps and implement improvements to streamline workflows and enhance productivity.
  • Establish quality control measures and audit work for accuracy and compliance with regulatory and corporate standards.
  • Act as a liaison between claims, account management, and executive leadership to ensure alignment on priorities and initiatives.
  • Prepare and analyze performance metrics, productivity reports, and compliance dashboards; present findings and recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Oversee utilization of vendor platforms, ensuring proper claim setup, data integrity, and troubleshooting system issues.
  • Develop service standards to improve client experience and handle escalated inquiries promptly.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal audit standards, implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Supervising, scheduling, assigning, monitoring and evaluating work of assigned staff are responsibilities for supervisory positions.
  • Effectively manage the deductible collection process to maximize revenue.
