About The Position

As a Client Services Representative (CSR) in the Adoptions department, you will serve as a primary point of contact for adopters, visitors, and clients. This position requires empathetic customer service skills with clear communication of Center policies and procedures. CSRs play a critical role in ensuring adoption processes are completed accurately, efficiently, and in alignment with animal welfare standards.

  • Availability to work weekends and holidays.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Basic computer skills required

Nice To Haves

  • Prior customer service experience preferred
  • Familiarity with dog and cat breeds, behavior, or animal welfare is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide professional, high-quality customer service to clients and all Center visitors, both in person and via phone, email, voicemail, etc.
  • Counsel prospective adopters by accurately communicating pet information, breed characteristics, behavior, and Center policies.
  • Process adoption paperwork efficiently and with high level of accuracy, including completing and maintaining electronic and hardcopy records.
  • Assist clients seeking to relinquish pets in accordance with Center policies and procedures.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to inquiries while managing multiple tasks and completing priorities.
  • Assist customers in the retail store, Paws in the Ranch, including providing product recommendations, processing sales transactions, restocking merchandise, maintaining organized and well-presented displays, assisting with basic inventory tasks, and supporting daily retail operations as needed.
  • Communicate customer service concerns or animal welfare issues to managers on duty in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain compliance with all Center policies, procedures, and safety standards.
  • Participate in Center events, promotions, and activities as required.
