About The Position

VCA Community Companion provides compassionate, high-quality veterinary care, with a strong focus on exceptional client service and teamwork. The Lead CSR coordinates and oversees front office operations and team members to ensure an efficient workflow and a welcoming, professional experience for clients and patients.

Requirements

  • 1–3+ years of customer service experience (veterinary/medical preferred)
  • Leadership or supervisory experience preferred
  • Strong communication, multitasking, and problem-solving skills
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic computer proficiency and ability to handle financial transactions accurately
  • Full-time, including weekends
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 40 lbs, and work in a high-energy setting
  • Frequent interaction with clients and pets; must be comfortable handling animals

Nice To Haves

  • Leadership or supervisory experience preferred
  • 1–3+ years of customer service experience (veterinary/medical preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and schedule front office team; provide feedback, training, and performance evaluations
  • Oversee daily front desk operations, including phones, scheduling, check-in/out, records, and financial transactions
  • Ensure excellent client service by greeting clients, addressing concerns, and maintaining clear communication on wait times and care
  • Act as liaison between clients, medical staff, and leadership
  • Support hiring, onboarding, and training of new team members
  • Maintain inventory, supplies, and front office organization
  • Assist with staff meetings, workflow improvements, and protocol implementation
  • Educate clients on basic pet care and services; provide and explain estimates
