About The Position

BluePearl Hospital is hiring an extraordinary Client Service Coordinator. This role is imperative to the success of the hospital, serving as the first BluePearl Associate clients encounter. The coordinator ensures each client receives the necessary care and attention, functioning calmly and compassionately in emotional and difficult situations. BluePearl Specialty + Emergency Pet Hospital is a national network of specialty and emergency pet hospitals, most of which are open 24 hours a day, every day of the year. They offer various types of hospitals including Specialty and 24/7 Emergency, Specialty & After-hours Emergency, 24/7 Emergency, After-hours Emergency, and Specialty Only. Their veterinarians use innovative procedures, high-tech equipment, and the latest treatment methods, combining expertise with a love for animals and a belief that kindness is the foundation of veterinary medicine. Responsibilities

  • Greet and make friendly eye contact every time our hospital entry door opens to offer individual a warm and professional acknowledgement.
  • Always offering a friendly smile, strong eye contact and an approachable demeanor.
  • Be a compassionate listener.
  • Speak clearly, slowly, and calmly in person and on the telephone in a way that clients easily understand.
  • Assess immediately upon arrival each client’s rare need, as well as the pet’s general condition.
  • Determine whether an emergency arrival is a “stat” versus “standard” emergency.
  • Respond to non-patient calls or visitors and connect them to the appropriate team member.
  • Confirm all appointments in advance ensuring clients receive accurate information about preparing their pet for the appointment.
  • Offer emotional support and resource materials to grieving clients in a compassionate and discreet manner.
  • Serve as a liaison between clients and service agencies during handling of pet remains by ensuring a complete, accurate, and compassionate process.
