About The Position

BluePearl Specialty + Emergency Pet Hospital is seeking an extraordinary Client Service Coordinator. This role is crucial to the hospital's success, as the Client Service Coordinator is the first BluePearl Associate clients encounter. Responsibilities include ensuring each client receives the necessary care and attention, functioning calmly and compassionately in emotional and difficult situations, greeting clients, assessing their needs and their pet's general condition, determining emergency levels, responding to non-patient calls, confirming appointments, offering emotional support to grieving clients, and serving as a liaison for pet remains handling.   • Ability to function calmly and compassionately in situations that can be very emotional and difficult for clients

Responsibilities

  • Greet and make friendly eye contact every time our hospital entry door opens to offer individual a warm and professional acknowledgement.
  • Always offering a friendly smile, strong eye contact and an approachable demeanor.
  • Be a compassionate listener.
  • Speak clearly, slowly, and calmly in person and on the telephone in a way that clients easily understand.
  • Assess immediately upon arrival each client’s rare need, as well as the pet’s general condition.
  • Determine whether an emergency arrival is a “stat” versus “standard” emergency.
  • Respond to non-patient calls or visitors and connect them to the appropriate team member.
  • Confirm all appointments in advance ensuring clients receive accurate information about preparing their pet for the appointment.
  • Offer emotional support and resource materials to grieving clients in a compassionate and discreet manner.
  • Serve as a liaison between clients and service agencies during handling of pet remains by ensuring a complete, accurate, and compassionate process.
