About The Position

The Client Representative provides administrative and technical support to the Surety team, assisting with the issuance, processing, and servicing of contract and commercial bonds. This role supports Client Managers and Client Executives by handling routine client requests, preparing documentation, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring timely, high-quality service.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of experience in insurance, customer service, or administrative support (surety experience a plus).
  • Strong organization and time-management skills with the ability to juggle multiple tasks.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Nice To Haves

  • Associates or bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, or related field.
  • Knowledge and skills in effective use of account management systems Tinubu (SurePath) and EPIC.
  • Desire to pursue professional insurance designation (AFSB, CPCU, CIC, CISR).

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, review, and process bond requests (bid, license, permit, and miscellaneous bonds).
  • Issue bonds within authority levels and distribute bond forms, riders, and related documents.
  • Maintain accurate bond logs, client files, and documentation in the agency management system (e.g., Epic, SurePath).
  • Update client and carrier information promptly and accurately.
  • Assist with invoicing, premium reports, and reconciliation of carrier invoices.
  • Monitor payables and resolve discrepancies with carriers.
  • Respond to routine client inquiries regarding bond copies, status updates, billing questions, or documentation needs.
  • Support Client Managers and Executives by gathering information and preparing standard forms or correspondence.
  • Assist with client onboarding, including collecting organizational documents, indemnity information, and contact details.
  • Collect and organize underwriting information such as financial statements, job schedules, and bond request forms.
  • Prepare basic submission packages and forward required data to underwriters.
  • Track pending items, approvals, and follow-ups to ensure timely issuance.
  • Manage incoming mail, bond forms, and carrier communications for the surety team.
  • Maintain division calendars, renewal reminders, and workflow tracking tools.
  • Participate in department meetings, training sessions, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure all files, forms, and communications comply with agency guidelines and carrier requirements.
  • Maintain confidentiality and accuracy of client and financial information.
  • Support audit preparation and reporting requirements as needed.
