About The Position

Step into an instrumental role. Help conduct the smooth operation of a fast-paced—and friendly—financial planning office. Summit Wealth Management is an independent franchise associated with Ameriprise Financial. You would be part of a six-person client relationship team that assists five advisors with the practice's operations. As a Client Relationship Manager and Paraplanner, you will assist financial advisors with the financial planning workflow. This role provides client relationship support through managing, gathering, and analyzing client data, and helping prepare preliminary financial plans and other related client deliverables. You will also perform various practice management tasks related to client service, including responding to ad hoc requests, coordinating and completing projects, and supporting routine client initiatives, all with an emphasis on creating and delivering a unique client experience that defines and differentiates the practice. This position requires consistently adhering to high standards of business and professional ethics, as well as meeting all legal and regulatory requirements when interacting with others or performing work activities. Requirements

  • College Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a similar field required
  • 5+ years of experience in the financial service or related field preferred
  • Ability to adhere to rules and regulations as stated and required by the advisor, Ameriprise Financial
  • Ability to support and provide guidance for compliance within the advisor’s practice
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with strong computer and technology skills
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and self-motivation
  • Positive attitude and curiosity to constantly learn and grow.
  • Proven ability to apply critical thinking skills

Nice To Haves

  • While not required, the following licenses and registrations (active or held previously): FINRA Series 7, FINRA Series 66, Life/health insurance license(s), Registered Paraplanner designation are preferred

Responsibilities

  • Process client service requests and activity, including ensuring new business paperwork is submitted efficiently which includes preparation of forms and documentation for submission to home office, acquisition of appropriate signatures, tracking of new insurance applications and coordination of investment transfers
  • Work with home office to ensure the proper handling of client service requests. Readily and proactively contact clients as needed and document in our CRM (SalesForce)
  • Manage Summit Wealth Management email; processing transaction requests from financial advisors and clients
  • Assist advisor(s) in servicing financial planning clients including becoming an expert in financial planning analysis (MoneyGuide Pro) and supporting tools
  • Provide general administrative duties such as scheduling client appointments, returning calls for advisors, answering clients calls, maintaining client facing spaces, and follow up on key actions
