About The Position

Our client in the financial services industry is seeking a Paraplanner to join their team. This individual will need to have prior experience in financial planning, and will be detail-oriented, maintains accuracy, and has a strong passion for the finance and retirement planning sector. The client is a small-midsized firm who are an established practice for over 10+ years!

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree
• Strong passion for financial planning, retirement planning and investments
• Enjoy working with numbers and spreadsheets
• Very strong Microsoft Excel experience and familiarity
• Highly detail-oriented and accurate
• High multitasking capabilities
• Looking for an in-office position
• Minimum 1-3 years of experience in the financial services industry
• An experienced Paraplanner with 3 - 5 years of experience, or
• A Service Advisor, Financial Planner or Financial Advisor who is looking to step away from the whole client facing aspects of their role and prefers a full-time position focused on the technical and administrative side of financial planning.
• Must have at least 1-3 years of experience in the financial services industry

Nice To Haves

• CFP or CPA designations are a plus, but not required
• Series 65 or Series 66 license are a plus, but not required

Responsibilities

• Collaborate and help prepare financial plan recommendations with the guidance of the team’s Lead Advisor
• Assist in preparing robust retirement income plans and income strategies
• Prepare investment portfolio summaries and asset allocation analyses
• Help communicate with clients occasionally for minor updates or needs
• Assist in preparing various financial planning reports
• Assist the Lead Advisor with onboarding new clients and ensuring their transition to our firm
• Help input data into our tax planning software to assess client tax situations and tax strategies
• Run simple illustrations for annuities using online quote engines
• Oversee preparation of various one-off analysis requests
• Collaborate with team members and advisors on client cases
