About The Position

At U.S. Bank, Client Relationship Consultants are integral to helping customers and businesses make better financial decisions and enabling communities to grow. This role involves building and fostering strong client relationships through various channels, including in-person, by appointment, and virtually, with a digital-first mindset. Consultants are responsible for assessing and addressing customers' banking needs, processing account information, demonstrating and educating clients on deposit and loan products and services, and recommending tailored solutions. They proactively engage with clients to understand their financial needs and banking preferences, identify suitable solutions, and maintain a comprehensive knowledge of consumer and business banking products, including digital offerings. The position also entails providing an optimal client experience, processing basic transactions, collaborating with branch team members, opening new accounts, completing service requests, submitting credit applications, and educating clients on self-service digital tools to ensure operational excellence and accuracy.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum four to five years of job-related, retail banking experience or a combination of experience and commensurate training
  • National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) registration under the terms of the S.A.F.E. Act of 2008 and Regulation Z. (Subject to required registration process, including criminal background and credit check. Failure to meet or maintain NMLS registration requirements may result in rescission of offer or termination of employment).

Responsibilities

  • Build and foster relationships with clients through proactive outreach and follow up.
  • Ask questions and learn about clients' financial needs and banking channel preferences.
  • Identify solutions for new and existing clients based on their needs by effectively engaging and communicating with clients.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of consumer and business banking products and services, including digital products and services.
  • Provide a consistent optimal client experience, including greeting clients and processing basic transactions.
  • Develop collaborative partnerships with branch team members and partners to best serve clients.
  • Open new consumer and business accounts, complete service requests, and submit credit applications.
  • Proactively educate clients on emerging and self-service digital products and services to assist with meeting their financial needs.
  • Leverage available resources and technologies to optimize the client experience and serve our clients with operational excellence and accuracy.
