About The Position

At U.S. Bank, Client Relationship Consultants are responsible for building and fostering relationships with customers through proactive outreach and follow-up. They engage clients via multiple channels, including in-person, by appointment, and virtually, to provide financial counsel with a digital-first mindset. This role involves assessing and attending to customers’ banking needs, obtaining and processing customer and account information, demonstrating and educating clients on available deposit and loan products and services, and recommending solutions tailored to each customer’s unique goals. Consultants maintain a working knowledge of consumer and business banking products, including digital offerings, and strive to provide a consistent optimal client experience, which includes greeting clients and processing basic transactions. They also develop collaborative partnerships with branch team members and partners, open new consumer and business accounts, complete service requests, and submit credit applications. A key aspect is proactively educating clients on emerging and self-service digital products and services and leveraging available resources and technologies to optimize the client experience with operational excellence and accuracy. This position requires National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) registration under the S.A.F.E. Act of 2008 and Regulation Z, involving criminal background and credit checks.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Typically has a minimum four to five years of job-related, retail banking experience or a combination of experience and commensurate training
  • Subject to the required NMLS registration process, which includes a criminal background and credit check.
  • Ability to meet or maintain any of the NMLS registration requirements, including maintaining a satisfactory criminal and credit record.
