About The Position

This is an exciting opportunity to work for one of the top law firms in the U.S.! Davis Wright Tremaine LLP is looking for a Client Program Specialist - Patent to join our team in our Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, or Los Angeles offices. This position offers the flexibility to be fully remote while working within reasonable commuting distance from any of our offices. This position is responsible for providing support to patent client teams, including overseeing projects, and contributing to process flow organization. It requires someone who is highly detail orientated, and possesses strong administrative, organizational and interpersonal skills while prioritizing and managing multiple assignments. Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience in an office setting, preferably in the legal or professional services industry
  • Demonstrated project management experience
  • Prior experience with project management software and/or docketing software
  • Self-starter with a high degree of attention to detail and sensitivity to confidential materials
  • Ability to accurately type 50+ wpm
  • Proficiency in MS Office Products (Word, Outlook, Excel) and Adobe Acrobat
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies quickly and independently
  • Ability to multitask and balance competing projects and deadlines
  • A highly professional demeanor and appearance
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented, service focused environment and to handle stressful situations in calm, composed manner
  • A high school diploma or GED certification
  • Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, with all levels of a professional services organization, including interpersonal skills
  • Strong customer service, analysis, troubleshooting and problem solving skills

Responsibilities

  • Oversee status of patent projects using project management tools
  • Manage a high volume of client communication, and determine appropriate action or response
  • Manage a high volume of client billing, with attention to client and internal billing guidelines
  • Report new actions, filings, and other patent activity to client
  • Liaison with clients to provide information by telephone, email, and using client specific software
  • Clear subject matter conflicts, and monitor client specific deadlines
  • Coordinate scheduling of disclosure meetings and review meetings
  • Availability and willingness to work overtime as needed or requested
  • Other duties as assigned
