Through sponsored challenges, we provide an alternative to traditional advertising channels, allowing brands to inspire and connect with athletes in a meaningful way. As a Client Partner, Strava for Business, you'll help leading brands and media agencies connect with the world's largest community of active people. Based in New York City, you'll play a key role in expanding Strava's advertising and sponsorship business across North America. Reporting to the North America Lead, Strava for Business, you'll focus on driving new business, and supporting best-in-class campaigns that inspire active living. You'll be part of a collaborative, fast-moving team working to make Strava the go-to platform for brands reaching active audiences. We follow a flexible hybrid model that translates to more than half of your time on-site in our NYC, NY office - three days per week.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in digital advertising, media, or sponsorship sales, with exposure to both brands and agencies.
  • Familiarity with agency dynamics (media planning, buying cycles, RFP processes) and how to navigate complex client structures.
  • Proven ability to pitch and close deals, balancing client goals with platform value.
  • Strong presentation, communication, and negotiation skills with attention to detail and follow-through.
  • A collaborative and growth-oriented mindset, eager to learn from senior sellers and contribute to team success.
  • Comfort using CRM and sales tools (e.g., Hubspot, Google Workspace) for pipeline management.

Responsibilities

  • Prospect and nurture early stage opportunities with top brands and media agencies that want to engage Strava's active community through Sponsored Challenges and Sponsored Segments.
  • Develop agency relationships - serving as a trusted partner to planners, buyers, and strategists who manage client campaigns.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Account Management, Marketing, and Product) to deliver seamless campaign execution and measurable results.
  • Build a strong sales pipeline in CRM, maintaining accurate forecasting and consistent progress toward revenue goals.
  • Represent Strava in the market, evangelizing our platform and products at client meetings, industry events, and agency presentations.
  • Provide market and client insights that help shape future go-to-market strategies and product innovations.
