About The Position

This role is designed for a highly organized, people-focused professional who thrives at the intersection of project management, client communication, and operational execution. The Client Onboarding Project Manager will own the onboarding experience for new clients, guiding them through complex processes with clarity, empathy, and efficiency. You will manage multiple client onboarding projects simultaneously, coordinate across internal teams, and ensure timely handoffs while maintaining high standards of accuracy and client satisfaction. Success in this position requires strong emotional intelligence, proactive problem-solving, and excellent communication skills. Requirements

  • 1-2 years of experience in project management, client services, accounting, or sales tax operations.
  • Proven ability to manage projects with multiple moving parts, deadlines, and dependencies.
  • Proficiency in Excel and comfort working with complex, data-heavy spreadsheets.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
  • Exceptional emotional intelligence, empathy, and client-facing skills.
  • Highly organized, proactive, and capable of managing multiple clients and priorities simultaneously.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant work experience.

Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end client onboarding process, from initial sign-up to full setup for ongoing operations.
  • Build and manage onboarding timelines, track dependencies, and proactively remove blockers to ensure projects move forward efficiently.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, translating complex processes into clear, actionable guidance and ensuring clients feel supported and confident.
  • Coordinate across internal teams to align workstreams, facilitate handoffs, and maintain clear visibility of onboarding status.
  • Analyze client transaction data to ensure accurate setup and mapping, identifying gaps or inconsistencies for resolution.
  • Contribute to process improvements that enhance onboarding efficiency, scalability, and client experience.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of workflows, client communications, and project deliverables.
