Job Description: The Institutional Retirement Onboarding Services Team within Workplace Benefits is responsible for the transition of corporate retirement plans to proprietary platforms. Projects include new conversions, company mergers, start ups and other various projects. The Client Onboarding Manager is responsible for the end-to-end projects of onboarding new and existing plans. They are the primary contact working with the client and their vendors to establish plan data transfer, recurring data transmissions, and establish accounts for asset transfers. Inclusive in the process is the accurate establishment of digital participant touch points and recordkeeping systems for platform processing. Projects require direct communication with plan sponsors, external vendors, and partnerships across various lines of business including Workplace Benefits Sales, Merrill Advisory, Product, Client Service and Operations. The successful Client Onboarding Manager has an in-depth working knowledge of retirement products and systems, excellent client service skills, and detailed project management skills. Typical project timeframes can range from 3 to 6 months or more depending on complexity and client needs. This requires the Client Onboarding Manager to successfully manage multiple projects with varying timelines and prioritize competing deliverables. The Client Onboarding Manager will have extensive interaction with the client, outside vendors and internal partners. The Client Onboarding Manager works as part of a team but does not have direct reports.
