A day in the life. As our Non-Fleet Client Manager on the Transportation team, you will: Oversee the servicing of a diverse book of business, ensuring accuracy, proper handling, and appropriate distribution of policies, endorsements, and other requests from clients and colleagues. Direct the gathering and preparation of submission information for the marketing process, including applications and schedules, and ensure alignment with client needs and agency capabilities. Prepare and present comprehensive insurance proposals, binding coverage in accordance with agency guidelines, and ensuring accuracy in policy documentation. Assist with the marketing and placement of new and renewal business, including preparing pre-renewal information packets, obtaining loss runs, and finalizing proposal summaries. Serve as the primary point of contact for identified clients, responding promptly to requests and overseeing the preparation of necessary documents. Build and maintain strong, strategic relationships with clients and carriers, enhancing client loyalty and satisfaction. Assist in training newly hired team members and be available as a resource for team members and colleagues, responding to questions and issues in a timely manner. Conduct thorough assessments of clients' business risk programs, identifying exposures and providing strategic recommendations for coverage enhancements. Emphasize risk management when reviewing renewal policies and endorsements, providing risk management advice directly to policyholders. Work closely with Producers and cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on client activities and strategic initiatives. Lead efforts in special projects that drive agency growth and improve service delivery. Review renewals, endorsements, and other documents for accuracy and compliance with coverage requests. Respond to underwriting requests and collaborate with clients as needed. Stay abreast of industry trends and regulatory changes, participating in continued education and professional development opportunities. Pursue professional development and certifications, including obtaining CISR, CIC, and AAI designations, and maintaining required continuing education for licenses. Ensure the confidentiality of client information and adherence to agency service standards and regulatory requirements. Other duties as assigned to successfully complete role.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent, required.
  • 3+ years of experience working in customer service, underwriting, commercial lines insurance for a carrier or broker preferred.
  • Familiarity with insurance company markets, binding authority, and underwriting guidelines preferred.
  • Must be detailed with excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills and a high sense of urgency.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office applications required.
  • Must have the ability to work under pressure and multi-task.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment, maintain a positive work atmosphere, and develop healthy relationships internally and externally.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to negotiate quotations, evaluate client needs, and develop innovative business solutions.
  • Be a self-starter and problem solver.
  • Must acquire Property Casualty and Life & Health resident and nonresident agency/broker licenses within 6 months of hire and comply with continuing education requirements.
