About The Position

The Client Benefits Coordinator will prescreen clients for eligibility in the Medicaid program. The Client Insurance Benefits Coordinator will provide positive client experiences through responsive feedback and customer service and assist clients with benefit application to completion.

Requirements

  • High School Education/ GED required
  • Knowledge of Medicaid eligibility, procedures, and regulations per state of Kentucky
  • Experience working with diverse, multi-cultural and low-income populations
  • Excellent communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Must have organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills demonstrating clarity and on-target messaging for a variety of audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multi-faceted demands and deadlines.
  • Attention to detail, yet flexible with an adaptable personal style.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision using independent judgment for decision making, as well as work cooperatively with other staff, volunteers, donors, and clients.
  • Valid driver's license with driving record that meets company insurance requirements.
  • Minimum of 40 hours per week
  • Must be able to work well with other staff and clients
  • Must be able to travel independently to local Medicaid/SNAP offices

Responsibilities

  • Prescreen individuals for Medicaid eligibility for all Revive Ministries facilities
  • Educate clients and assist with Medicaid re-determinations when requested
  • Assist clients with updating their insurance plans when they have a life changing event
  • Assist with Intake insurance applications and provide any necessary follow up
  • Complete application assistance and support at partner sites
  • Follow up with all clients who have been screened and have submitted applications
  • Advocate for client benefit eligibility, and initiate a process for maintaining quality programming
  • Training and back up for the SNAP Benefit Coordinator when necessary, keeping abreast of all processes.
  • Process all SNAP Claims and Appeals
  • Perform regular Audits of SNAP transactions.
  • Always maintain confidentiality and program fidelity
  • Maintain up-to-date, accurate reports and other data as required
  • Get the Client files/file room reorganized
  • Attend training sessions as provided
  • Attend and participate in all agency and department staff meetings
  • Participate in all other duties and activities as requested or assigned
  • All other duties as assigned
