About The Position

This role is a key contributor to delivering a seamless onboarding and conversion experience for financial services clients. The Client Implementation Specialist manages the end-to-end client onboarding lifecycle, including account openings, closures, data reconciliation, and system transitions. Acting as the primary liaison for clients and internal teams, the specialist ensures accuracy, compliance, and timely communication throughout every project. The role also involves gathering client feedback to improve platform functionality and onboarding workflows, with opportunities to contribute to operational, client-facing, and product initiatives. This position offers a dynamic environment with cross-functional visibility and the chance to influence client experience and operational efficiency. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, proactive, and skilled at balancing client engagement with internal process management.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in client onboarding, transitions, or financial services operations.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Hands-on experience with cost basis and tax reporting platforms.
  • Proven track record managing end-to-end institutional or client onboarding, including system setup, data migration, and documentation.
  • Project coordination or management experience, including planning, reporting, and issue tracking.
  • Product management mindset with ability to translate client needs into platform enhancements.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and client engagement skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with onboarding systems or workflow tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate client onboarding processes, including system conversions, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Conduct data analysis, reconciliation, and review to support seamless platform transitions.
  • Engage with clients directly to clarify documentation, regulatory requirements, and onboarding expectations.
  • Lead client-facing calls and meetings, providing guidance, follow-up, and documentation throughout the onboarding lifecycle.
  • Coordinate cross-functional resources to ensure client needs are met and legal/regulatory compliance is maintained.
  • Monitor project quality, track issues, escalate risks, and recommend process or platform improvements.
  • Support complex conversion activities, ensuring accurate data migration and successful transition to standard operations.
