Client Experience Lead, Advisory Practice

About The Position

Farther's advisory team is growing, and so is the scope of what it takes to deliver a truly exceptional client experience. This role sits at the intersection of client operations and advisor support, purpose-built for a senior Managing Director who serves high-net-worth families, executives, and entrepreneurs across complex financial planning needs. You'll be embedded in Farther's Client Experience team while dedicating your focus to one advisor. Your time splits between two tracks: CX operations and handling client service requests, account work, and platform-side execution. As well as direct advisor support, including business development, prospect outreach, event coordination, and the day-to-day tasks that let your advisor stay focused on clients and growth. This is a high-ownership role for someone who's proactive by nature, comfortable in a fast-moving environment, and genuinely excited about building something. If you're on a CFP or CFA track or already have it and you're looking for a path toward relationship management, this is a strong launchpad.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in financial services, wealth management, RIA operations, custodial platforms, or similar client-facing roles
  • Experience with Charles Schwab's custodial platform (required); familiarity with Fidelity or comparable platforms and CRM systems a plus
  • Strong written and verbal communicator who can engage professionally across clients, prospects, and internal teams
  • Proactive and self-directed, you anticipate what's needed, follow through without reminders, and know when to escalate
  • Comfortable in a fast-scaling environment where priorities shift and no two days look the same

Nice To Haves

  • CFP in progress or already earned (we support your development)
  • Experience supporting a high-net-worth wealth management practice or similar book of business
  • Familiarity with financial planning workflows, proposal tools, or platforms like Salesforce, Redtail, or similar
  • You've done client outreach or business development support, LinkedIn prospecting, event planning, or similar

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first line of defense on client communications — triaging inbound requests, responding where you can, and flagging what needs advisor attention
  • Execute the full range of CX operations: account openings, transfers, money movements, and ongoing service requests via the Farther platform and custodians (Schwab/Fidelity)
  • Prepare meeting materials, including agendas, portfolio reviews, financial plan updates, and quarterly reports — coordinating with internal planning and estate teams as needed
  • Handle post-meeting follow-up: review AI-generated notes, manage task lists, and draft client recap emails
  • Support business development through prospect research, portfolio analysis, proposal prep, and marketing event logistics — including outreach via LinkedIn and CRM tools
  • Maintain CRM records, documentation, and reporting with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Identify and act on process improvements that give your advisor more time for what matters most
