About The Position

Avenues Recovery Center is a nationwide network of drug and alcohol rehab centers with eighteen locations across seven states, offering evidence-based clinical programs and individualized care. The Client Engagement Specialist will engage directly with clients, developing relationships and securing commitment to treatment. This role involves conducting client crisis interventions as needed to prevent clients from leaving treatment AMA, and occasionally facilitating groups to maintain an understanding of community needs and challenges. The specialist will collaborate with, direct, and train client support staff in crisis intervention and safe supervision, and is responsible for recording all client interactions, reports, observations, and interventions in client charts. The position is based at Avenues Recovery Center at Dublin, a residential facility located on 11 expansive acres of scenic New Hampshire countryside, providing drug and alcohol detox and inpatient rehabilitation services in a rustic and relaxed environment. The facility is staffed by passionate and skilled clinicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, addictions counselors, and behavioral health technicians dedicated to delivering dignified and compassionate care.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and engage clients in treatment
Ability to manage difficult situations and provide crisis intervention when needed
Strong communication and documentation skills, proficient with Microsoft 365 programs
If in recovery, minimum 1 year of sustained sobriety required

Nice To Haves

1+ year experience in addiction treatment, behavioral health, or a similar client-facing role preferred
