The Client Development Consultant (CDC) plays a vital role in supporting identification, development, resourcing and reporting for critical client business opportunities but does not have primary responsibility for closing sales. You’ll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week. As a member of the Growth Engagement & Operations (GEO) team, the CDC will have responsibility for using technology and internal sales engagement processes to Partner with sales executives to identify and validate client and prospect business requirements for high-complexity pipeline opportunities Drive disciplined sales activities using a structured engagement methodology Apply expert knowledge of Salesforce to execute, track and report metrics on client needs, actions, and outcomes Coordinate and align internal matrixed resources for support to opportunities in Optum Financial’s sales pipeline Translating complex client needs into actionable client business capture plans that accelerate deal progression Champion and train stakeholders on disciplined sales engagement practices, reinforcing strong CRM hygiene and strategic business judgment in support of GEO Develop multi-level relationships and maintain communication with stakeholders You’ll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.
