About The Position

As a Client Bill Specialist, you will maximize customer reimbursement, review client fee schedules and account receivables and provide recommendations as appropriate. The Client Billing team investigates issues, helps to identify root causes, and communicate possible solutions to customers/sales reps. This is an onsite position in our Charleston, SC office.

Requirements

  • Possess strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Are comfortable taking on new projects and multitasking
  • Able to prioritize and manage time and tasks efficiently
  • Have high level customer service skills to interact with internal and external teams
  • High School Diploma; advanced education and/or degree
  • 2+ years’ experience in relevant medical billing/collections experience
  • High proficiency with MS Office & Excel

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients regarding billing inquiries, providing clear explanations of charges, insurance potential coverage, and payment options
  • Identify and address client billing concerns, discrepancies, or disputes, working collaboratively with insurance providers and internal teams to resolve issues efficiently. This includes working assigned corrections/edits accordingly whether system administered or coming from our customer base
  • Educate clients on their billing statements, insurance billing if needed, and financial responsibilities, helping them make informed decisions
  • Maintain accurate records of client interactions, billing issues, and resolutions, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations
  • Research payments and posting payments
  • Gather client feedback on billing processes and recommend improvements to enhance client satisfaction and operational efficiency
  • Reviewing client invoices; creating, revising, and adjusting as needed
  • Other departmental projects or tasks deemed necessary by management
