About The Position

The Client Advocate plays a critical role in account retention, continuous improvement, and project implementation. This position is dedicated to growing and retaining existing key end users by providing exceptional support and ensuring customer satisfaction. As the face of the company in the field, the Client Advocate establishes strong relationships with multiple contacts within customer organizations, creating a barrier to competition and minimizing the impact of employee turnover. The primary focus of this role is business retention and improvement, which serves as a key performance metric. Working closely with the Enterprise Accounts team, the Client Advocate collaborates with Enterprise Directors and Sales Leaders to identify improvement opportunities and address evolving business goals within our key customers' fulfillment centers.

Requirements

  • University degree or college diploma preferred with a focus on business, packaging, or a technical major
  • Desirable experience includes project management, packaging, industrial engineering, fulfillment center operations, and supply chain fields
  • Sales, account management, engineering, and/or customer service experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate self-motivation and the ability to meet expectations with limited supervision, while effectively managing time
  • Travel frequently to customer facilities within a designated geographic region
  • Utilize strong project management skills to coordinate and execute implementation plans and schedules
  • Manage new account launch activities, including machine requisitions and installations
  • Develop relationships with local distribution representation partners and stakeholders at assigned fulfillment/distribution centers (Operations, Shipping, Packing, Purchasing, etc.)
  • Collaborate with the Pregis field service team to ensure customer expectations are exceeded and strong facility relationships are established
  • Possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills as well as strong computer skills
  • Generate relevant business reports and provide follow-up and recaps on all assigned action items
  • Support new product trials by providing updates, gathering customer feedback, identifying barriers to success, and addressing competitor responses
  • Conduct packing and equipment operation training for new and existing customers
  • Assist in building and maintaining customer profiles and strategic account management plans
  • Monitor all competitive contact activity and customer turnover
  • Identify opportunities to expand sales at existing sites
  • Demonstrate personal and professional effectiveness while working in cross-functional teams
