About The Position

The Client Account Executive is responsible for meeting the marketing, sales, service, and quality standards of Choice Insurance, a Vizance Company. This role acts as the primary point of contact after the business development transfer from the Insurance Advisor. They promote ongoing relationships with clients by providing prompt, knowledgeable and premier customer service, while simultaneously providing support to the Insurance Advisor. WHAT YOU WILL DO Provide outstanding client service to our Employee Benefits clients Pre-qualifies and analyzes prospects’ coverage needs, recommends coverages and prepares rating quotes and proposals to sell new accounts. Actively solicits increases in coverage or rounding out accounts through sales to clients at every service contract. Recommends excess and surplus coverages, as needed to meet client insurance needs. Educates clients as to coverage limitations and documents on the system. Completes applications for insurance, submits to eligible and appropriate carries, and follows up to ensure timely receipt of policies or quotations. Actively seeks referrals from current client base to solicit for new business prospects; follows up to generate new business using prospect database and system. Actively refers clients to Group and Individual Life Benefits for solicitation of new business. Sets priorities and manages workflow to ensure efficient, timely, and accurate processing of transactions and other responsibilities. Maintain accurate records Organize and participate as needed with client presentations, including employee enrollment meetings Prepares summaries of insurance, schedules and proposals, using computerized system. Lead the process for plan enrollment including employee communication, case submission and plan implementation and follow up to a successful conclusion Serve as resource to clients for current market conditions and ongoing benefit regulation changes Manage employee benefits administration, assisting current and new clients with benefits questions, claims, and billing issues to a successful resolution. Escalate issues to the appropriate level if necessary Independently manages workflow to ensure efficient, accurate and timely processing of transactions and renewals Keeps informed regarding industry information, new product information, coverages, and technology to continuously improve knowledge and stay current. Interacts with others effectively by utilizing good communications skills, cooperates positively and provides information and guidance, as needed, to contribute to the business efforts of the agency. Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned by agency management. Leads as a team player with excellent interpersonal skills Possesses excellent written and oral communication skills Must possess a high energy level and outgoing personality Promotes and administers change and accepts diversity Exhibits problem-solving, and decision-making skills Fosters open communication Advanced knowledge of rating procedures, coverages, and industry operations to effectively manage, maintain, and underwrite assigned client and prospect lists. Requirements

  • 4-year Degree in related field of study or 7 years combination of education and/or insurance experience. 5+ years Life & Health insurance experience required.
  • Current MN Life and Health License
  • Performs duties outside normal scope as assigned
  • Ability to lead capacity for one or more functional areas
  • Capability to analyze business process, develop ad-hoc reports, provide proactive solutions and develop procedural documentation
  • Well versed in insurance regulations, provides education and develops processes, procedures and policies within department
  • Relies on experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goals and is comfortable with ambiguity and problem solving
  • Works under little to general supervision
  • Act as a leader for all Client Account Managers & Specialists

Nice To Haves

  • Preferably holds relatable Insurance Designations (i.e. CISR, CIC, CPCU)

Responsibilities
