Clerk III will perform assigned clerical duties to assure maintenance and work orders are operated in an efficient, economical and timely manner. Performs complex (journey-level) clerical work in areas such as bookkeeping, inventory control, statistics, employment, purchasing, or accounting. Work involves compiling and tabulating data, checking documents for accuracy, transporting documents and/or stock and inventory, and maintaining files. May train others. The CAFM Specialist is responsible for maintaining, gathering and updating data, and support critical CAFM (Computer Aided Facility Management) database systems and to generate routine and specialized reports as required. Position consists of large amounts of data entry. Must be willing to develop competency in the application CAFM software systems including as well as other systems as they are brought online. Individuals will function independently, be willing to accept directions from Central Office CAFM Program office staff as it relates to maintaining the integrity of the Department’s CAFM Program goals and objectives and interface with facility maintenance and construction employees. The Facility CAFM Specialist will perform a variety of related tasks as assigned by the Director of Facility Management and works with projects and Contractors. Must have the ability to use Windows and Microsoft Word. Must be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Individuals are back-up work order coordinators for the department and participate in general office duties and special assignments as needed for the department. Must be willing to learn from and to adapt to change and be able to maintain effective working relationships with others as a willing team member. Works under the general supervisor of the Plant Operations Manager.
