About The Position

The Day Porter Clerk provides warehouse support in various areas. This includes cleaning & stocking break rooms, offices, cubicles and restrooms. This role also assists with maintenance projects and tasks.

Requirements

• 1-2 years related experience.
• The ability to communicate clearly and effectively (written and verbal).
• Must be able to read a limited number of two- and three- syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to write and speak simple sentences in English.
• The ability to work in a fast-paced environment (multi-tasking skills a must).
• Good attendance record – arriving at work on time is critical to success.
• Good attention to quality and detail.
• Reliable, punctual and able to follow directions.
• Ability to stand on feet for prolonged periods at a time with repetitive motions such as bending, stooping, pushing and pulling.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Clean all office/employee break areas and restrooms on a daily basis. This includes (but is not limited to) wiping down surfaces, dusting, mopping, vacuuming & trash removal.
• Stock break areas & restrooms with supplies (plates, napkins, toilet paper, etc.)
• Other sanitary duties can be added based on warehouse needs.
• Assist with maintenance projects and tasks: Some examples are hanging posters, trained to refill battery water fluids in equipment, and cleaning dock doors (for example). The task and projects will come based on the needs of the warehouse.
• Support other departments when cleaning/maintenance tasks are complete.
• Maintain safety standards in compliance with company policy.
• Other duties as assigned.
