Clemons Library at the University of Virginia is seeking student Circulation Assistants for the 2026 Spring semester. The Library Circulation Assistant will provide customer service at the Clemons 4th floor main desk. The position duties include, but are not limited to, checking out books, videos, and equipment items to patrons, answering general informational questions; checking in returned materials and getting them organized and re-shelved; providing basic IT support for printers and desktop computers. The Clemons Library main desk is staffed with student assistants from 8am to 2am, all days of the week. Weekly work schedules are built around student class schedules and availability. Extra consideration will be given to students who are willing and able to work weekend shifts (especially Friday or Saturday evenings) throughout the Spring semester. Students with work-study are strongly preferred. For a student hired as work-study, the position start date is 1/12/26, and the end date is 5/8/26. Students hired for Spring semester may continue working this summer, and/or the next academic year. Attach a Cover letter and CV/Resume.
