About The Position

PeopleTec is currently seeking a Cleared Cybersecurity SME to support our Huntsville, AL location. We are seeking a cleared Cybersecurity SME who is interested in joining an award-winning company and working with cutting edge technologies to include: directed energy, missile defense, and space systems. The selected candidate will be a member of our dynamic Huntsville team and will work on projects involving various facets to information technology and information security to design, configure, maintain, and protect a US Government Customer information system within a Science and Technology lab environment. Our team members work with a wide-ranging group of customers to develop innovative and creative solutions to address the nation's most pressing challenges. Duties Include: Support USG customer as the Organizational Information System Security Manager or senior principle Information Technology lead according to JSIG Rev 4 and/or ICD 503 security requirements. Provide technical expertise and advise the USG Program Manager on issues or risks related to Cybersecurity threats or vulnerabilities related to classified information systems. Support Command IG inspections, internal validation and verification, staff assisted visits, and security controls assessor visits for information system security controls review. Coordinate with the Program Security Officer on approval of external information systems. Manage existing Risk Management Framework Authorization and manage Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M) for continuous monitoring. Manage changes to information system and assess security impact of required changes. Perform required self-inspection of the overall Information System Security Program to ensure compliance with government regulations. Provide implementation guidance and oversight to ISSO and System Administrators Work in a lab demonstration environment that requires initiative, attention to detail, independent thought and action, and the ability to work in a multi-disciplined teaming environment. Conduct technical interchange meetings to facilitate AIS security solutions for government systems; and produce comprehensive solutions to technically complex systems and challenges.

Requirements

  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Must be DoD 8570.01M IAM Level III immediately upon hire
  • Experience in managing information systems security programs across multiple classification levels and enclaves.
  • Experience with managing software, system, and vulnerability scanning tools and managing vulnerability reporting and closure of POA&M items.
  • Experience with managing Incident Response and Continuity of Operations Plans.
  • Experience with JSIG Rev 4, CNSSI 1253, and/or ICD 503 regulations for authorizing national security systems
  • Experience with categorizing
  • Travel: 10%
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • An active DoD Top Secret / SCI eligibility clearance is required to perform this work. Candidates are required to have an active Top Secret / SCI eligibility clearance upon hire, and the ability to maintain this level of clearance during their employment
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university in a related discipline (information technology, cybersecurity, computer science, mathematics) and 10 years or more of professional experience OR Master's of Science in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field and 5+ years of professional experience.
  • The ability to lift up to 25 lb is required. The physical ability to install, inspect and maintain computer systems, networks, and wiring in enclosed spaces is also required.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience with managing complex information systems in a multi-classification enclave or environment with Cross Domain Solutions
  • Previous experience with support of DoD Special Access Program or Intelligence Community Cybersecurity projects.
