Clearance Officer
About The Position
The Clearance Officer will handle all title curative and commitment clearance duties, including: Title Review & Curative Resolution Review title searches for accuracy and completeness Clear judgments, liens, UCCs, mortgages, and other encumbrances Obtain, verify, and review HOA/condo documentation Complete all curative work needed to satisfy commitment requirements Prepare and submit underwriter escalations when needed Commitment Preparation & Final Clearance Ensure all requirements on the Title Commitment are fully cleared Prepare final clearance sign-off for the escrow officer prior to CD preparation Communicate proactively with clients, agents, lenders, and internal teams to provide fast, transparent status updates
Requirements
- High school diploma, required. Bachelor's degree, preferred.
- Title clearance / title curative experience required
- Experience with national title insurance files strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of title reports, commitments, liens, and curative practices
- Ability to analyze complex title issues and resolve them quickly and accurately
- Excellent communication skills and a commitment to providing exceptional, fast customer service
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Nice To Haves
- Experience with SoftPro or similar title production software is a plus
