About The Position

Goodwill Southern California is seeking an energetic and dedicated Operations Manager to lead our Clearance Center. In this fast-paced, community-focused role, you'll drive sales, production, customer service, and safety excellence—all while contributing to our mission of upcycling products and keeping them out of landfills.

Requirements

  • Experience: 1-3 years in a supervisory role in a customer-focused environment.
  • Skills: Strong leadership, multitasking, and communication abilities.
  • Flexibility: Availability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays, and occasional overtime.
  • Commitment: A passion for mission work and a track record of reliability and integrity.

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiency with computers, we can train the rest!
  • Bilingual skills in Spanish are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead & Inspire: Supervise and mentor a team of 5-10 Ambassadors, ensuring they have the tools and training to exceed customer and sales goals.
  • Manage Operations: Oversee day-to-day activities including opening/closing, cash register operations, sales floor maintenance, and production processes.
  • Deliver Excellence: Engage with customers, donors, and staff with a friendly, solution-focused approach that upholds our core values of Respect, Integrity, Service, and Excellence.
  • Ensure Safety & Compliance: Maintain a clean, safe work environment by enforcing company policies and standard operating procedures.
  • Collaborate & Grow: Work closely with the Site Manager to plan schedules, manage performance, and drive continuous improvement.
