About The Position

As a Security Officer - Operations Center Clearance Required in Niskayuna, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As a Dispatch Security Professional with Allied Universal at a busy manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor alarms and camera systems, coordinate officer responses, and communicate updates by radio and phone to help reduce security-related incidents. You will document activity, support routine patrol coverage, and deliver responsive customer service to employees and visitors. Requirements

  • Possess a college degree.
  • Client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Have 5 years of industrial security-related experience or 2 years of military, law enforcement, EMT, or fire department services experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
  • Operate the dispatch post by monitoring cameras, alarms, phones, and/or radio traffic; prioritize calls for service and relay information to on-site officers and authorized contacts.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; coordinate notifications, document actions taken, and support incident resolution.
  • Maintain accurate dispatch logs and incident reports, including time-stamped call details, unit status updates, and escalation steps per site procedures.
  • Assist with access control and visitor processing as needed, including verifying authorization, issuing credentials when directed, and supporting controlled entry and exit per site policy.
