About The Position

The Equipment Maintenance Specialist is responsible for performing preventive maintenance on semiconductor manufacturing equipment in a cleanroom environment. This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work effectively in a team setting. Candidates must be comfortable wearing cleanroom attire, standing for extended periods, lifting up to 35 lbs, and handling hazardous materials with appropriate PPE.

Requirements

  • 2–5 years of experience in semiconductor equipment maintenance preferred.
  • Strong mechanical and electronic troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and project management abilities.
  • Familiarity with Statistical Process Control (SPC) in manufacturing.
  • Ability to stand and walk for up to 12 hours per shift.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications, including MS Office and Excel.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2–3 years of experience in equipment maintenance and/or parts management.

Nice To Haves

  • 3–5 years of wafer fab experience focused on production equipment.
  • Completion of 12+ credit hours toward an Associate degree in electronics from an accredited institution.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance on Cleans/Wet Etch equipment following standard work procedures.
  • Maintain and service equipment such as: SCP 9400 Wet Hoods Screen WS 820L Wet Hood Akrion GAMA Wet Hood FSI Mercury Semitool SST and SAT Novellus Sabre (Cu Plater)
  • Monitor and analyze tool performance data; recommend improvements to maintenance procedures.
  • Communicate equipment status clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Provide detailed written updates to engineers and technicians across shifts.
  • Rebuild and clean subassemblies for semiconductor equipment.
  • Support subfab equipment and manage chemical handling tasks.
  • Ensure adequate inventory of consumables for subassembly rebuilding.
  • Follow written procedures with precision and attention to detail.
  • Apply knowledge of electronic, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.
  • Maintain professional conduct in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Uphold 5S principles and maintain organized workspaces.
