The Maintenance Specialist is responsible for improving the results associated with the equipment in the plants by troubleshooting, repairing, and replacing electrical/electronic components (motors, frequency drives, photo eyes, safety devices, etc.), troubleshoot PLC programs and provide general maintenance support. They are the first point of contact for all electrical equipment issues on the shift. The Electrician will independently perform maintenance, troubleshooting, small change management, loss elimination, and improvement activities. They are responsible for maintaining strong working relationships with the Maintenance department as well as external contacts, including: the Compounding Department, Maintenance Planner, Warehouse and Production teams, engineering resources, and other resources in similar roles, etc. The Electrician is expected to communicate in an effective and professional manner both orally and written.
