Requirements

Able to work well with others and have a teamwork mindset.
Able to communicate effectively as possible.
Able to maintain a good attendance record.
Able to keep work area clean, safe and organized.
Able to communicate in English.
Able to lift to 50 lbs rarely.
Depending on production schedule, must be able to lift over 10 lbs occasionally within a 10-12.5 shift, depending on your assigned schedule.
Overtime may be required to meet customer demands.

Responsibilities

Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) to ensure food safety and integrity.
Always follow safety protocols and use designated Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in required areas.
Follow additional tasks as assigned by Supervisor or Lead.
Collaborate, communicate, and learn from people with different backgrounds, cultures, abilities, languages, or perspectives.
Follow Company policies and procedures.
Execute assigned food safety, quality and continuous improvement procedures to ensure support of SQF requirements, regulatory requirements and customer’s requirements.
Contribute to process improvements.
Participate in Lean events.
Empty production garbage cans into dumpster.
Check the line’s light indicator to determine when to empty the film canisters.
Remove any excessively dirty garbage cans.
Remove full dumpsters to designated area each period in the meat & cheese receiving area.
Make sure door to production is closed.
Empty the inedible tubs under all lines into dumpsters.
Dry up any wet area and scrape and dispose of any debris on RTE floor during break times.
Keep exit doors and walkways clear of obstacles.
At end of shift, ensure all lines are cleaned of debris and ready for the next shift.
Empty all garbage cans into dumpster (Pack Off).
Remove full dumpsters to designated area for emptying (Pack Off).
Dry all wet areas (Pack Off).
Remove all debris from the floor in the Pack Off area.
Sweep floors of Pack Off at the end of shift.
Remove all cardboard boxes and break down and place in cardboard baler (Temp Room).
Empty baler and place in recycle bins (Temp Room).
Keep debris off floor in Temp Room, Bread, Receiving and Freezer areas.
Sweep all areas above at the end of the shift (Temp Room, Bread, Receiving and Freezer areas).
Clean all lines after breaks including the equipment on the line (Line Cleaners/Tray Washers).
Ensure all trays, buckets, utensils, etc. are cleaned and ready for Production used before and after breaks (Line Cleaners/Tray Washers).
Continue to empty trash throughout shift (Line Cleaners/Tray Washers).
When picking up trash from the floor, being close to the line is not allowed (Line Cleaners/Tray Washers).
