Preferred Qualifications Advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering or related engineering field; Engineer in Training ( EIT ) certification or licensed Professional Engineer (PE) Candidates with detailed and current, knowledge and skills in technical analysis of distributed generation and energy efficiency project development preferred Candidates with detailed understanding of electric and gas utility rates and various charges, ratchets, fees, etc. that affect energy costs preferred Candidates with working knowledge of North Carolina, other states and federal policies affecting distributed energy, electricity markets and regulations preferred Experience with renewable energy, utility grid and/or microgrid energy and economic performance modeling and analysis Experience with state- and federal-funded grant project management and compliance practices Grant writing and marketing experience are a plus Work Schedule Monday - Friday; 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM, some remote/flexible schedule
