About The Position

This special education teaching position will be available January 16, 2026. The salary and benefits are in accordance with the current Professional Association Collective Bargaining Unit Agreement. Candidates must possess or are applying for a valid Pennsylvania Special Education PK-12 Instructional I or II certificate. We are seeking candidates with outstanding credentials with experience and empathy for special needs students.

Requirements

• Valid Pennsylvania Special Education PK-12 Instructional I or II certificate
• Strong academic background, deep knowledge of the PA Academic Standards and District curriculum, and skill in data analysis of student performance information
• Highly developed classroom management and problem solving skills
• Strong technology background which supports student learning and professional growth
• Experience/orientation with Special Education/IEP process and requirements
• Ability to creatively prepare, communicate, and present effective instructional strategies with the understanding and empathy for students and the assigned level
• Completion of successful interviews along with meeting all local requirements
