About The Position

The Classroom Programs Coordinator is responsible for the administrative support of History Colorado Center school programs, which are primarily utilized in classrooms, including History Take-Out classes, artifact kit rentals, and online resources. This position exists to provide organizational support to History Colorado's education programs by handling reservations, payments, and communications with teachers and other school personnel, as well as training and scheduling program facilitators. This is a key customer service position that interfaces directly with teachers and students.

Requirements

  • Two (2) years of full-time professional experience with a primary focus on K-12 educational program administration and oversight.
  • Part-time experience will be prorated.
  • A combination of related education and/or relevant experience with K-12 educational program administration and oversight
  • Background check and fingerprinting
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Processes program reservations and payments.
  • Trains, schedules, and evaluates program facilitators.
  • Point person for teacher communications, including confirmation emails, questions, and follow-up surveys.
  • Conducts program evaluation, including administering surveys and monitoring results.
  • Monitors and purchases program supplies.
  • Coordinates the Educational Use Collection.
  • Prepares and ships artifact kits to schools across the state.
  • Promotes classroom programs at off-site education events.
  • Facilitates field trips and out-of-school-time camp activities as needed.
  • Participates in Education Advisory Board group meetings and discussions.
  • Updates educational materials on the website as needed.
