About The Position
Classroom Nurse Up to $43-47/hour | Fayetteville, GA | Full-Time Hours | 2026-2027 School Year | Full time position providing staff training and delivering student healthcare services in alignment with physician orders and IEPs. Ampersand Therapy is hiring a full-time Classroom Nurse in Fayetteville, GA. Requirements
- Valid State of Georgia licensure as a registered nurse
- Nationally recognized Health Care Providers CPR AED certification
- One (1) year patient care or school clinic experience, including but not limited to administration of medications, health assessments and use of basic computer applications.
- Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
Nice To Haves
- Pediatric nursing experience preferred, not required
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing services to students in accordance with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and Individual Health Care Plans
- Assist in developing and implementing health care plans for students with chronic health conditions and special medical needs
- Monitor student health status, including restrictive diets and ongoing treatment plans as directed by physicians
- Maintain accurate and confidential student health records in compliance with HIPAA, FERPA, and district policies
- Collaborate with nurses, physicians, school staff, and families to support student health and educational access
- Participate in Student Support Teams, IEP meetings, and provide health-related training to staff and students as needed
- Support students with physical needs, including lifting, positioning, transferring, and accompanying students on transportation when required
- Communicate health updates and concerns promptly while providing high-quality, student-centered care
