About The Position

The Agency for Persons with Disabilities employees must demonstrate total commitment to outstanding customer service. This includes, but is not limited to, acting in a responsive, professional, courteous manner with the employees, customers, and public we serve at all times. This is a professional position in State Office Human Resources, responsible for providing technical assistance to staff regarding the Agency’s Classification and Compensation and personnel action programs.

Requirements

  • Open Competitive opportunity. Any applicant who meets the minimum requirements of the position.
  • Two (2) years of experience in Human Resources and managing Human Resources functions.
  • Two (2) years of experience administering the Classification System for the State Personnel System.
  • Must have a valid Florida Driver's License.
  • Position may require some travel to surrounding areas, applicant must be willing and able to travel for work purposes.

Responsibilities

  • Independently coordinate, analyze, prepare, and finalize classification packages and processes.
  • Investigate and resolve issues related to classification and compensation.
  • Maintain and update human resources information systems and records, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Research and interpret personnel statutes, rules, policies, and procedures to determine organizational structure, position exemptions, and inclusion or exclusion criteria.
  • Provide consultation and technical guidance to management and customers by interpreting state and Agency rules, procedures, and policies.
  • Prepare, generate, and post monthly personnel reports and ad hoc reports as needed.
  • Review and maintain classification documentation, including position descriptions, current and proposed organizational charts, and related materials.
  • Participate in the development, revision, and implementation of Human Resources policies, procedures, and processes.
  • May travel to surrounding counties as required to support investigations, classification audits, and other related assignments.
