We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyman to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in electrical work, including both industrial and commercial experience. This role requires an Electrician to be on the road. For the first 3 months all work will be in Iowa. All expenses will be paid. Work schedule would be three weeks on, off one. FULL PAY. This role requires proficiency in various electrical systems, the ability to read blueprints and schematics, and a commitment to safety and quality workmanship. As a Journeyman, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that all electrical installations and repairs meet industry standards.

Requirements

  • Must have a minimum if a valid Class A Journeyman License registered in Iowa
  • Must be willing to travel 90%
  • Proven experience as a licensed electrician
  • Must have excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively on construction sites with a focus on teamwork

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in frame carpentry or maintenance is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC)
  • Work with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation tasks
  • Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for various tasks
  • Conduct troubleshooting on high voltage and low voltage systems
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents
  • Perform renovations and new construction electrical installations
  • Collaborate with other trades on construction sites to ensure project timelines are met
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, including renovation projects
