About The Position

A Commercial Journeyman Electrician plays a key role in ensuring that commercial electrical systems are functional, efficient, and safe for the building’s occupants and operations.

Requirements

  • Journeyman, State or Master license - Required
  • 5+ Years of Experience as a Journeyman or Commercial Service Electrician
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and respond to emergency calls
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Travel as need to worksites
  • Must be authorized to work in the US.
  • Must pass a criminal background check, drug screening, and have a clean driving record.

Nice To Haves

  • Journeyman or Electrical License preferred or equivalent skills, experience, and knowledge

Responsibilities

  • Install electrical wiring, circuits, panels, switches, lighting systems, and other electrical components in commercial buildings such as offices, retail stores, and industrial facilities.
  • Identify wiring routes, equipment placements, and circuit configurations based on project specifications.
  • Diagnose and repair malfunctioning electrical systems, including wiring, circuits, switches, breakers, and lighting systems.
  • Replace faulty wiring, breakers, fuses, and other electrical components to restore system functionality.
  • Respond to emergency electrical issues, providing immediate repairs to minimize downtime or safety risks.
  • Ensure that all electrical work adheres to the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local building codes.
  • Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and maintenance performed on electrical systems.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, property managers, or building owners about the scope of work, electrical issues, and progress updates.
