About The Position

Stepp’s Towing & Heavy Transport is seeking experienced Heavy Haul Transport Drivers to join our team! We’re looking for Class A CDL drivers with a positive attitude, strong customer service skills, and excellent problem-solving abilities. This local/regional position involves hauling high, wide, and heavy loads using lowboy, Landoll, step-deck, flatbed trailers, and heavy-duty rollbacks. Manual transmissions only—no slip seating! All drivers must have their own set of tools once assigned to a truck. SIGN-ON BONUS Hired by February 2nd, 2026 $2500

Requirements

• Class A CDL with at least 2 years of verifiable experience
• Current DOT Medical Card
• TWIC Card ( within 30 days of hire)
• HAZMAT endorsement ( within 90 days of hire)
• Registered in the DOT Clearinghouse
• Clean driving record ( for at least the last 3 years)
• MUST be able to pass a background check and drug test
• Experience with heavy equipment hauling required
• MUST be able to drive manual transmission trucks

Responsibilities

• Maneuver tractor and trailers into loading/unloading positions, following signals from crew and ensuring safe positioning
• Pull trailers configured with tow bars or goosenecks as needed
• Load and unload trucks, operate special loading equipment, and assist others as required
• Secure equipment for transport using ropes, chains, binders, etc.
• Operate multi-axle trailers for heavy equipment transport
• Use GPS mapping effectively
• Work in all weather conditions
