About The Position

Allen Distribution is offering flexible part-time positions for a Clamp/Forklift Operator. This role is designed to fit various lifestyles, accommodating individuals balancing school, family, or other commitments. The primary purpose of the position is to use power equipment to load and unload products, and to safely move, locate, relocate, stack, and count products within the distribution operations. Requirements

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a forklift license.
  • Ability to use a RF scan device.
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs.
  • Must be able to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
  • Must be able to twist, stoop, squat, and reach above shoulder level.
  • Ability to work in a non-climate controlled environment.
  • Must have experience and be knowledgeable about Food Safety or willing to receive training in Food Safety.
  • Ability to operate a clamp attachment.
  • Experienced and successful work history in distribution.

Responsibilities

  • Operate power equipment, including forklifts and clamp attachments, to load and unload product.
  • Safely move, locate, relocate, stack, and count product.
  • Complete work in a timely, accurate, and consistent manner, adhering to established productivity standards.
  • Maintain daily housekeeping of the operations building, equipment, and common areas.
  • Participate in pre-shift and department meetings.
  • Promote teamwork and assist in all operational areas as needed.
  • Follow all written and verbal instructions, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and specific customer work instructions.
  • Report all issues, equipment malfunctions, and product damage to management.
  • Conduct lift inspections prior to operation and follow all safety and security policies, including Dock Safety policy.
  • Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are error and damage free.
  • Ensure product is scanned properly and matches item codes on documentation.
  • Complete all inbound and outbound paperwork accurately.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy and report discrepancies.
  • Plan and schedule time off in advance with your supervisor or manager.
