Join our team as a Claims Team Leader Level 3 and lead a dedicated group of professionals in delivering high-quality claims management services. What does a CLAIMS TEAM LEADER– LEVEL 3 do? Lead, coach, train, and develop a team of 4–6 Level 3 Claims Representatives. Set clear performance expectations; provide ongoing feedback and guidance. Oversee and ensure accuracy of all teamwork products. Support onboarding, talent development, and recruitment activities. Champion company initiatives and represent leadership across the organization. Influence decision-making and drive alignment across teams. Conduct QA and file reviews; approve authority requests. Provide expertise in attorney‑represented BI claims, coverage, and liability investigations. Manage negotiations, settlements, and litigation‑related claims activities. Ensure timely, accurate handling of new and existing claims. Deliver daily/weekly/monthly reporting to adjusters and leadership. Identify process improvement opportunities and support their implementation. Maintain proper documentation aligned with company and state requirements. Resolve escalated issues, customer concerns, and complex coverage questions. Assist or lead special projects and initiatives. Collaborate with internal departments and support recruiting activities, interviews, and new‑hire onboarding.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • To perform the essential functions of this job an active Texas or Florida Adjuster License will be required to comply with state and GAINSCO requirements. Upon hire, additional license(s) may be required. If that is the case, license(s) must be obtained within 90 days of hire date. All licenses must be maintained in accordance with state requirements.
  • Minimum 2 years bodily injury claims (or attorney represented) adjusting experience in the auto insurance industry.
  • Prior supervisory experience required.
  • Auto insurance experience required; non-standard auto insurance experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Image Right and Claims Manager.
  • Possesses superior verbal and written communication skills, as well as the ability to impart knowledge of customer service best practices to new adjusters.
  • Demonstrates the ability to effectively prioritize and delegate tasks, while simultaneously fostering a positive and productive team environment.
  • Ability to diffuse tense situations with customers and train others on how to de-escalate and resolve customer complaints.
  • Demonstrates the ability to quickly learn and effectively utilize computer systems and other technologies to complete tasks and achieve objectives.
  • Ability to gather and analyze information or data in order to evaluate results in order to recommend solutions to current problems.

  • Auto insurance experience required; non-standard auto insurance experience is a plus.
