About The Position

C.H. Robinson is seeking a Claims Representative who will be responsible for entering, overseeing and helping to resolve the cargo claims filed by customers of C. H. Robinson. This position requires the individual to work with several different C. H. Robinson network offices, and other involved parties to assist in the resolution of claims that have been filed or amicably resolve situations in which product is lost or damaged during transit. Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED
  • 1+ year previous customer service or claims experience
  • 1+ year of experience with Microsoft Office Programs

Responsibilities

  • Acts as a liaison between corporate and network offices to facilitate the gathering of information that will allow proper response to claim losses and legal documents
  • Processes new claims, disseminates the claim to the appropriate carrier or insurance company, and enters claim settlement
  • Monitors and responds professionally with a customer service mindset to email and voicemail
  • Resolves daily problems that arise and brings the issues to a resolution
  • Identifies exposures and risk to the company and escalates accordingly on pending claims and litigation that may have an adverse impact on financials
  • Assists customers in arrangements with carriers to return or salvage goods and schedule inspections, by coordinating and communicating with management, employees and agents
  • Builds working relationships with customers, carriers, insurance companies and the office network
  • Maintains excellent task management in order to have proper follow up and resolution on each claim
  • Other duties or responsibilities as assigned according to the team and/or country specific requirements
